중세국어의 특수어간 교체에 대한 음운론적 연구
A phonological study on the alternation of the special stems in the Middle Korean
초록
This paper provides a new analysis of the special stems alternation in the Middle Korean. The special stems has the various alternations in conjugations of consonant and vowel suffix. For this purpose, the framework of Dimensional Phonology(Avery & Idsardi 2001) is employed for a satisfactory analysis. Dimensional Phonology can account for the connection of tone and syllable as we need new inputs in this analysis. And then, employing the lexical conservatism of Optimality Theory(Steriade 1997), I will show how correct outputs can be obtained for the alternation of special stems in the Middle Korean. Finally, I will show the change of constraint ranking in the Comtemporary Korean dialect.
