Hysteretic Behavior of Diagonally Reinforced Concrete Coupling Beams with Reduced Transverse Reinforcement

초록

The objective of this study is to evaluate the amount of trasverse bars on the hysteretic behavior of diagonally reinforced concrete coupling beams. Two coupling beams were made with an aspect ratio of 2.0 and tested subjected to cyclic loading. The standard specimen was a code-compliant specimen, whereas the second specimen had reduced amount of transverse reinforcement. Test results showed that the amount of transverse reinforcement strongly affected the hysteretic behavior of the coupling beams.
