청소년의 여가제약이 게임중독에 미치는 영향

초록

Internet game addiction is known to be detrimental in that adolescents are likely to commit various delinquencies and crimes with confusions between real and cyber worlds. Dissimilar to previous studies with a misbelief that adolescents' leisure choices are commonly dependent upon their parents' decisions and family backgrounds, this study assumes that most adolescents perceive diverse types of leisure constraints when they participate in preferred leisure activities. Accordingly, this study makes use of several factors in terms of leisure constraints to predict adolescents' levels of internet game addiction. Overall, study results suggest that the concept of leisure constraints plays an important role in determining the degree of internet game addiction. It is noteworthy that the sub-dimension of intrinsic constraints showed the strongest magnitude to explain adolescents' levels of internet game addiction. Based on study results, this paper indicated several management implications and important policy options.
