IT 거버넌스 성숙도 향상을 위한 벤더 역할 분석

Recently, the importance of IT governance has been addressed more frequently. The IT governance mostly deals with client issues such as organizational structure, process, and roles & responsibility for the effective corporate IT decision making. As the IT governance deals with critical corporate decision making involving IT investment, ROI, and organizational design, necessary capability should be supported. One recent phenomena is that IT outsourcing has become common practice, which emphasizes vendor’s role and that the client firm’s dependency upon vendor competence is increasing. However, the vendor’s role to collaboratively contribute to client firm’s IT governance maturity has not been systematically addressed in the literature. Furthermore, since IT governance cannot be matured through one-stop project [ITGI, 2003] nor captured from solution deployment only, cultivating capability to enable IT governance maturity by IT outsourcing vendor deserves to get investigated. In this study, we provide the conceptual model to analyze IT outsourcing vendor’s role to contribute to enhancing client firm’s IT governance maturity level.
