하이브리드 카메라를 이용한비전 기반 손 모양 인식 방법

초록

It is an important issue in the research field of dance, especially choreography, to recognize body gestures. This paper focuses on hand gestures among various body gestures and proposes a vision-based method of recognizing hand positions and hand shapes. Hand recognition methods are generally weak to cluttered background; however, the proposed method can recognize two hands robustly in cluttered background by using a hybrid camera which captures color and infrared images. Also, it does not require markers or physical sensors to be attached on body and thus does not disturb user’s immersion. Furthermore, the proposed method is simple and efficient and thus works in real-time.
