관광지 주민의 혼잡지각이 감정과 대응행동에 미치는 영향

초록

The purpose of this study is to examine the effects of perceived crowding on emotion and coping behaviour in tourism destination from the residents’ point of view as a number of tourists have increased. For achieving the aim of the study, total 232 data was collected in the center of local in Seoul and analysed using SPSS 18. The multiple regression analysis and three-step mediated regression analysis were used for examining the hypotheses. The results of the analysis is that spatial crowding has a significant effect on positive and negative emotion and both positive and negative emotions affect coping behavior. Furthermore, spatial crowding affects coping behavior in negative way. In other words, spatial crowding from increasing tourists affects residents’ coping behavior by decreasing positive emotion and increasing negative emotion. Therefore, management toward spatial crowding would be needed for residents in tourism destination.
