This paper presents a study on the electromagnetic drag analysis of core-less superconducting propulsion systems on steel vacuum tubes in hyperloops. Superconducting motors are typically designed as core-less motors. This is due to the absence of magnetic materials with high saturation flux densities that can shield very strong magnetic fields and the lightweight of the propulsion system. For this reason, the strong magnetic flux of superconducting magnets is not shielded and can affect the neighboring environment. In the case of a hyperloop propulsion system with superconducting magnets on vehicle, the strong magnetic flux of the superconducting magnets travels at speeds of up to 1200 km/h, and has an electromagnetic effect on the steel tubes. Therefore, this paper analyzes the electromagnetic influences according to these steel tubes properties of the B-H curve and the conductivity.
