Complicated migration of ventriculoperitoneal shunt catheter into the heart with its successful retrieval by an interventional procedure using the transfemoral approach
초록
A ventriculoperotoneal shunt is the most common treatment for hydrocephalus. Cervicothoracic complications with VP shunt are rare, but we present extremely rare cases of the distal migration of distal catheter of A VP shunt into the heart, via the internal jugular vein, which is successfully retrieved by an interventional procedure using a transfemoral approach.
