초록

In this paper, we propose a stop and go (SG) system with a velocity profile. To complete smooth velocity control and stop at the desired stop point, velocity profile of three phases is designed. In the first and second phases, we design the velocity profile within the pre-defined maximum acceleration and jerk until the vehicle reaches a near point before the stop point. Once the vehicle passes the near point, the vehicle is controlled by a position to make an exact stop at the stop point. The velocity profile is considered with the maximum jerk, the maximum acceleration, time gap for any situation, and distance to go, etc. The proposed SG system is compared with conventional adaptive cruise control with CarSim and MATLAB/Simulink.
