융복합교육 프로그램 구성을 위한 기초 연구: 현장 사례 분석을 통한 구성틀 적용 가능성 탐색

초록

As an effort to develop a framework for helping teachers prepare yungbokhap education programs for their own classrooms, this study conducts an extensive, critical review of literature on issues around how to develop yungbokhap education programs. We use the term “yungbokhap education” as used in Ham et al. (2013) and Park et al. (2013) in light of emerging scholarly and policy discourses on educational reform which call for a new model of education whereby an integrative and holistic approach to teaching and learning is encouraged to help individual students find their learning experiences more authentic and meaningful. Based on a comprehensive program development model that has evolved from our literature review, we have applied our framework to analyze several exemplary cases of yungbokhap education. Our analysis suggests that the framework is highly useful to draw our analytic attention to a range of elements that constitute the central characteristics of yungbokhap education. This paper also discusses some potential limitations of the framework and calls for future research to both expand and elaborate the framework.
