해양 웰니스 관광자의 몰입 경험에 관한 현상학적 연구: 해안 둘레길 걷기를 바탕으로

A Phenomenological Study on the Flow Experience of Marine Wellness Tourists: Based on the Coastal Trail Walking

초록

This study explores the essence of marine wellness and the flow experience among tourists engaged in coastal trail walking within the context of marine wellness tourism. In-depth interviews were conducted with participants who had walked coastal trails within the past six months, and the data were analyzed using Giorgi’s phenomenological method. The analysis identified three main themes, thirteen sub-themes, twenty-seven meaning units, and 145 significant statements. Flow experiences emerged from the interplay of physical rhythms, sensory engagement with the marine environment, trail stability, emotional synchronization, and social interaction. These flow states developed into multidimensional wellness, encompassing physical and emotional relaxation, cognitive purification, and existential immersion. Such experiences promoted stress relief, emotional stability, self-reflection, and stronger community bonds, thereby enhancing satisfaction and the intention for continued participation. The findings contribute to a deeper theoretical understanding of marine wellness tourism and offer practical insights for designing programs that maximize wellness outcomes.
