초록

This study attempted to confirm the mediating effect of organizational commitment and the moderating effect of work-from-home intensity in the relationship between leader trust and workplace isolation for office workers who have worked from home due to the COVID-19 pandemic. To this end, the final 185 responses were analyzed using SPSS PROCESS Macro. The results of this study are as follows. First, in a work-from-home situation, leader trust has a negative effect on workplace isolation. Second, organizational commitment during work-from-home due to COVID-19 mediated the relationship between leader trust and workplace isolation. Third, work-from-home intensity moderated the relationship between organizational commitment and workplace isolation. Fourth, work-from-home intensity moderated the mediation effect of organizational commitment. Based on these results, this study suggests that it is important to lower the sense of isolation of employees by enhancing leader trust in work-from-home situations. This study is meaningful in that it expands research on work-from-home and workplace isolation in Korea and provides implications for the intensity of work-from-home, employee management methods, trust-based leadership, and organizational support in the implementation of HRD related to the work-from-home.
