사용자관점에서 평가한 지하철 이동공간에 관한 연구

초록

This study aims to examine the transfer passage in subway station in Seoul Metropolitan area by 20's and 30's ordinary end users' viewpoints for analyzing and suggesting improvements of facility conditions.This study conducted a survey using a checklist which based on the current studies. A contents of the checklist divided into four different design elements, distinguish, information, safety convenience. The field survey were assessed according to analyzing evaluation summaries and suggesting problems. Each subway station applies the color of the subway line among correlating signs for recognition. However, billboards and other extraneous information boards cause the signs to lose visual color continuity when passengers follow the appropriate colored signs to get to the appropriate platform or exit. This may lead to confusion. Because of this, it is suggested that each subway station improve the size and quantity of advertisements and information boards. And while doing so, it may improve the subway station’slocation by also applying the subway lines’colors to architectural details and placing unique sculptures in the stations in order to stand out from others.Each subway line is run by a different company. Therefore, elements of space usage, material, color, light and signs implemented in each station are different in style and orthography. Because this aspect may also mislead and confuse passengers, each subway company should highlight characteristics of subway lines by incorporating basic design elements to increase recognition and identification.
