안드레이 루블료프 이콘 해석의 패러다임과 신화 창조의 메커니즘 -‘디오니시우스 아레오파기트 사상’과 ‘삼위일체적 형제애’의 예술적 변용을 중심으로-

초록

Andrei Rublev, one of the symbols of medieval Russian artists, sublimated Russian religious mind and spiritual culture into art, and it made him to be canonized, despite of the fact that he was only a novice painter. Although the official records about him remain fragmentary, the interests of religious and artistic circles about him were expanded. Therefore, the main purposes of this study are a reinterpretation of Andrei Rublev as a man, who made a profound impact on the descendants of Russian religious painting, and an analysis of philosophical, artistic, and historical context on his works. As a methodological approach, the ideas and philosophy of Andrei Rublev represented on his icon paintings and his life are examined closely through the movie by Andrei Tarkovsky, . In the process, the consideration about him is expanded into his relations with Byzantine hesychasm, Dionysius the Areopagite, Russian national idea, and Renaissance. Andrei Rublev himself has become an icon of the era by the result of the public and the scholars, who have tried to find the model of Russian religious art in his works. It has to do with securing the ideological legitimacy for Russians in the national development from old rus into Russian empire, transforming the Orthodox ideology into art and writing a new history of the Russian Orthodox Church. Every culture holds its own preconceptions about national spirit, ideology, and culture. The historians of Russian religion and art tried to build a paradigm for patriotism, the spirit of self-sacrifice, a sense of community and fellowship through the Andrei Rublev’ world of art in the expansion of the political mechanism from rus, to Russian empire, to Soviet empire.
