The purpose of this study is to analyze the priority of educational needs and validation by self-leadership professionals in order to consider educational priorities on developing program. A survey was conducted on 573 college students in H College in Korea. As a result, ‘time management', ‘challenge’, ‘goal-setting’, ‘self-development’ and ‘human relationship’are ranked at the highest educational priorities from both The Locus for Fucus model analysis and Borich’s index. In addition, face to face interviews of self-leadership professionals were conducted to verify the validity. Professionals almost agree with them and particularly emphasize on 'goal setting' among them. Professionals also propose that ‘goal setting’, ‘positive thinking’, ‘communication’, ‘self-directedness’ and ‘responsibility’ competencies should be considered in developing self-leadership program as well from a more fundamental and long-term perspective. These results of study are expected to provide a suggestion to Korean college education practitioners to developing self-leadership competencies and to be utilized as a guideline for designing and developing programs.
