초록

Gene-centered Methodology and Molecular Biology This paper investigates the role and the significance of gene- centered methodology in molecular biology. I claim that methodological considerations has played an important role in the historical development of molecular biology and are likely to do the same in future molecular biology research. I also claim that there are certain limitations with regard to the usefulness of the gene- centered methodology in molecular biology research. I discuss the views of Lewontin, Keller and Morange on this issue to argue my claims.
