재생·반(半)합성 스테이플섬유 직물의 국제무역 네트워크 구조 비교 -2014년과 2024년을 중심으로-

This study examines changes in the international trade network of HS 5516, woven fabrics of artificial staple fibers, by comparing the networks in 2014 and 2024. HS 5516 was selected to focus on the international trade of woven fabrics made from artificial staple fibers as a distinct intermediate textile product category. Using data from the United Nations Comtrade database, a directed trade network of the five largest exporters and importers and their trading partners was constructed separately for 2014 and 2024. Countries were treated as nodes, exporter-to-importer relationships as directed edges, and trade values as indicators of edge strength. Out-degree, in-degree, and betweenness centralities were calculated using NodeXL. The comparison showed that total export and import values increased by 17.7% and 17.2%, respectively. China remained the dominant exporter, with its share of HS 5516 exports increasing from 62.1% in 2014 to 78.5% in 2024. Türkiye exhibited greater export connectivity and betweenness centrality in 2024 than in 2014. Italy and Spain occupied prominent network positions, exhibiting high connectivity in both export and import directions in 2024. In contrast, Morocco remained the largest importer despite relatively low betweenness centrality. These findings demonstrate that trade value and network centrality do not necessarily coincide and that major trading countries occupy distinct structural positions within the HS 5516 trade network. This study provides a basis for understanding changes in international trade in artificial staple fiber fabrics and the evolving roles of major trading countries.
