신호 교차로의 교통사고 요인에 관한 연구 : 3지 교차로를 중심으로

초록

Traffic accidents at signalized intersections, the most frequent accident locations, have caused severe human casualities as well as physical losses and have been increased annually. This study examines the causal relationship among key variables of traffic accidents at the 3-legged signalized intersections. The current accidents models were developed mainly by using ono-linear regression models such as Poisson methods. These non-linear regressions methods lack to reveal complcated causations opf traffic accidents, though they are the reasonable choice under the conditions of randomness and non-linearity of accidents. in addition, most existing studies focus on four-way intersections, not the three-legged signalized intersections. The structural equation method has merits to explain causational factors of traffic accidents. Finally, we suggests policy implications for a reduction of traffic accident at the three-legged signalized intersections.
