Friction damper design procedure based on inelastic displacement ratio

초록

The purpose of this study was to propose the design procedure of damped structure with friction damper for existing structure using inelastic displacement ratio. The target displacement of damped structure was determined based on seismic performance of existing structure and inelastic displacement ratio equation was used to predict the displacement of damped structure. This study conducted nonlinear response history analysis to verify the validity of design procedure using 80 earthquake ground motion. Based on the analysis results, the proposed procedure estimate well the displacement of damped structure.
