초록
To take advantages of polymers and inorganic particles in nano dimension, their composites have much attention in manifold application fields. Since silver is excellent antibacterial agent, polymers containing silver nanoparticles have great potential in some practical usages. Meanwhile, it has been manifested that the electrospinning is the powerful process to fabricate nano-sized structures of polymers which have high specific surface areas. In this study, poly(ethylene oxide)(PEO)/silver nanoparticles composite was prepared by electrospinning. Scanning electron microscopy (SEM), energy dispersive X-ray spectroscopy (EDX), wide angle X-ray diffraction (WAXD), and antibacterial efficacy were used to characterize the properties of the composite. The prepared composite had antibacterial activities against Staphylococcus aureus and Escherichia coli.
