도시재생사업에 따른 이주 및 보상대책에 관한 연구

초록

The urban regeneration project, which has mainly concentrated on the improvement of physical environment so far, is now experiencing a paradigm shift focusing on social and economic aspects in terms of enhancement of the urban competitive power. This paper aims to suggest some relocation measures in promoting the urban regeneration project to enhance urban functions and to improve civic quality of life. This study examined the stakeholders' opinions related to the problems of existing urban regeneration project and relocation measures through surveys. Especially, about relocation measures, this study empirically analyzed ‘the Sewoon Redevelopment Promotion Area' which is now in progress. The analysis shows the most dramatic disagreement between members of landowners' association and tenant merchants. The analysis suggests the necessity to reform the system and policy toward sufficiently accepting the opinions of residents in local development area instead of existing uniform development method. The implications of this study can be applied to minimizing social costs and conflicts that might be caused in promoting urban regeneration projects afterwards.
