초록
This study aimed at examining the relations of child counselors' supervision experiences (SE) and interpersonal relation dispositions to countertransference (CT) management abilities and exploring a potential moderating role of interpersonal relation dispositions in the relationship between SE and CT management abilities. A total of 116 child counselors practising in Seoul, Kyunggi and Incheon areas completed the Professional/Training Experiences Survey, Interpersonal Relation Dispositions Scale, and Countertransference Factors Inventory. Correlational analyses showed positive correlations between SE and conceptualizing skills and between independent-responsible and empathic-acceptable dispositions and five CT management abilities (self-insight, self-integration, empathy, anxiety management, and conceptualizing skills), while showing negative correlations between resistant-distrustful disposition and self-integration and anxiety management. With regard to a moderation, independent-responsible disposition and resistant-distrustful disposition each was found to moderate between SE and self-integration and between SE and empathy. Resistant-distrustful disposition was found to moderate between SE and anxiety management and empathic-acceptable disposition between SE and empathy. Implications of these moderations to clinical practices were discussed and supervision components to improve child counselors' CT management abilities were contemplated.
