To obtain a high performance in a direct vector controlled IPMSM, it is essential to estimate the inductance. In the online estimation algorithm, the model is formulated such that cross-coupled estimated parameters are eliminated, which improves the parameter estimation robustness. Parameter estimation is further improved by combining the model with a closed loop observer. In this paper, an efficient identification algorithm for inductance is presented. The proposed flux estimator is added to inductance estimator. By adding the flux estimator, it can be estimated three parameters. And, it is realized that the simulation results. The validity of proposed technique is verified through the MATLAB/SIMULINK simulation results.
