경제사회적 환경이 비영리부문 성장에 미치는 영향의 시계열 회귀분석

초록

The purpose of this study is to examine the impacts of socioeconomic factors on the growth of the nonprofit sector in Korea. Time series data covering 39 years, from 1972 to 2010, were drawn from the Korean Statistical Information Service, OECD Revenue Statistics, and the World Bank’s World Development Indicator. A time series regression analysis found that (1) the growth of the nonprofit sector was related to the amount of government expenditure and to urbanization rates, (2) rapid economic growth tended to slow the growth of the nonprofit sector that requires additional community needs for further development of the sector, and (3) although the nonprofit sector has shown steady growth since the 1987 Democratic Movement, the speed of the growth did not exceed the GDP growth rate. This study concludes with the theoretical and practical implications of the research findings.
