열-화학적 에너지 밸런스를 고려한 통합 연료 개질 시스템의 수치해석 연구

초록
This paper describes hydrogen production system consisting of preheating, steam reforming (SR), and water gas shift (WGS) reaction beds in the flow direction. Also, the fuel processing system includes a top-fired burner providing necessary thermal energy for endothermic catalystic reactor. This work presents the comprehensive computational efforts on the conjugate heat and mass transport in the multistage fuel processors. Fully coupling fluid flow, species transport, catalytic surface kinetics, and heat transfer, a numerical model is developed to investigate flow distributions, concentration profiles of chemical species, and temperature distributions under non-isothermal conditions. Computational results are validated against experimental data available in literature. Finally, in order to develop the fuel processing system, the numerical model is used to design various reactors reflecting principal operation parameters such as steam to carbon (S/C) ratio, temperature, and pressure.
