대학생 진로발달의 종단적 변화양상과 첫 일자리 직업만족으로의 전이관계 분석

초록

This study aims to provide implications for supporting the career development of university students helping their successful transition to work. For the current study, data from the Youth Panel from 5th to 13th wave of the Korea Employment Information Service were used. A growth mixture model analysis was conducted to identify differential patterns of university students’ career development. Also, a latent profile analysis and latent transition analysis were applied to explore longitudinal changes from career development trajectories of university students to job satisfaction at the first jobs. The result supported two classes model for career development trajectories of university students. Higher satisfaction with the professor’s guidance, higher self-esteem, lower external career barriers were significant in the prediction of belonging to “increase” group. 3 latent profile groups were constructed for job satisfaction at the first jobs. Those who belonged in “increase” group of career development trajectories through university life transferred mostly to “general satisfaction” group at the first jobs. For “decrease” group, the transition probability to “general dissatisfaction” turned to be the highest. The result of this study confirmed the need for individual demand-based systematic design in career development support for university students at the institutional level.
