폴리에틸렌 옥사이드/커큐민 복합체의 제조

초록

PEO　(Poly Ethylene Oxide) is　a biocompatible and bio-degradable polymer. It has been widely used in Electrospinning due to its non-toxicity and water solubility. It has also been used in bio-medical applications as bio-material including scaffolds, tissue engineering and drug delivery System. Curcumin, a natural extract of CURCUMA longa, has been widely used in sub-continent as spice and coloring agent. Various Sesquiterpenes and curcuminoids have been extracted from the rhizome of Curcuma longa giving a wide range of biological activities such as anti-oxidant, anti-inflammatory, wound healing, anti-cancer, anti-proliferative, anti-fungal and anti-bacterial activity. In this study, we developed PEO/curcumin composites by using electrospinning, for bio-medical applications.
