A shape optimization scheme for static stiffness problems

초록

The purpose of this study is to propose a method of structural optimization scheme based on the artificial bee colony algorithm (ABCA). Structural shape optimization is performed using boundary parameterization. In other words, since shape optimization aims to optimize the boundary of a structure, the discrete variable that defines the boundary of a structure is introduced. In order to verify the effectiveness and applicability of the proposed scheme, the optimized shapes and convergence rates are compared with those of the bi-directional evolutionary structural optimization (BESO) method. It can be found that the convergence rate of this scheme is much faster than that of the BESO method.
