국가지질공원 지정으로 본 지오투어리즘(Geotourism)의 의미와 역할

초록

This study considers the meaning of geotourism by appointing as an national geopark. As a way to define the role of geotourism, theoretical exploration of Geotourism and Geopark was conducted. Since the currently used title, ‘National Park,’ is restricted in its meaning, the term, ‘Geopark’ was used in accordance with the tourism system of Gunn(1988). The governmental support for the following sector is essential: service facility; training program; professional guide training; publicity and marketing strategy; transportation infrastructure; and finally study of demands on geotourist. This study aims to provide a theoretical foundation for a future study by establishing the conceptual structure of geotourism and geopark.
