This research is an experimental study for estimating the impact of the absorber cooling water temperature on the dehumidification performance of a liquid desiccant system. This paper addresses the dehumidification effectiveness variation with the cooling water temperature changes in the absorber based on the experiment data collected from the liquid desiccant system operation. The lithium-chloride (LiCl) solution is used as the liquid desiccant. The liquid desiccant system used in this research dehumidifies 2000 m3/h process air and 10USRT air-cooled chiller may provide cooling wateratany given temperature. The measurement of dehumidification effectiveness values are conducted during the summer in Seoul, South Korea when the outdoor air (i.e. process air) is hot and humid. Based on the experiment data showing the dehumidification performance variation of the liquid desiccant system for the cooling water temperature, a validation of the dehumidification effectiveness values of a liquid desiccant system is compared with existing model.
