Ectopic cervical thymoma presented as thymic mass in myasthenic patient
초록
The thymus gland is a derivative of the third and possibly fourth pharyngeal pouch, so its development closely resembles that of the thyroid gland, and the remaining tissue may be found ectopically anywhere from the pharynx to its normal location in the anterior mediastinum. Therefore, ectopic cervical thyomoma is sometimes confused hyroid mass. But, it has not been reported ectopic thymoma associated with myasthenia gravis. We report a case of ectopic cervical thymoma associated with myasthenia gravis presenting as thyroid mass.
