1608년 남산 아래 유몽인의 처지와 심경 －「終南散閑錄」 散考－

초록

Yu Mongin, the representative writer in mid-Joseon period, was appointed to the chief royal secretary on Jan., 28, 1608 when he was 50 years old. The chief royal secretary was responsible for issuance of royal commands with the close relationship with a king. It corresponds to the Chief Presidential Secretary nowadays. However, Yu Mongin couldn't hold that position for a long time. King Seonjo died and Gwanghaegun came to throne 2 days after his appointment. As the power structure was significantly changed, he had to resign just in 12 days after appointment. Accordingly, he couldn't enter into the government service until April 1609. He was secluded from the mundane world and lived under Mt. Namsan. During that period, he left 39 poems. This paper investigated the situations and feelings of Yu Mongin at that time with 39 poems as texts. Yu Mongin was suffered from severe sense of alienation. Thus, he was captured by the impulse of death or mentioned the deads as being psychologically considerably intimidated. Yu Mongin who was very confident on his ability couldn't accept the situations at that time and such feeling was exposed as the hatred against the rulers and self-torment. As experiencing such emotional loss, he was suffered from extreme symptom of decrepitude. Why he recognized the remote corner of a country and the place where snowstorm raged as his situation was actually based on his inner side. Such situation was continued until 1611. The unique characteristics of Yu Mongin were clearly observed through the political fluctuation. It was closely related to his literary world. This paper highlighted a part of his literary world. Yu Mongin was very complicated person as the representative master writer and the politician in mid Joseon period. The detailed investigation on a specific time was one of effective approaches to analyze the life and literature of Yu Mongin in diverse aspects. It requires the examination on other periods in his life.
