청소년의 완벽주의적 자기제시와 우울간의 관계에서 역기능적 분노표현의 매개효과

초록

This study aimed to investigate the relationship between adolescent’s perfectionistic self-presentation and anger expression, to find out the mediating role of anger expression on the relationship between perfectionistic self-presentation and depression. The survey response of 316 middle school students in capital area were analyzed in this study. Descriptive statistics analysis, regression analysis, and structural equation modeling were conducted. The findings of this study were as follows: First,‘Nondisplay of Imperfection: NDC’, sub-variable of perfectionistic self-presentation had influenced on anger expression. Second, It was observed that perfectionistic self-presentation was positively related to‘anger-out’,‘anger-out’was positively related to depression. In addition,‘anger-out’worked as a mediator of explaining the relationship between perfectionistic self-presentation and depression. Based on this study findings, there is a need to understand the anger expression aspects and depression of those with higher levels of perfectionistic self-presentation. The meaning and limitation of this research and implication to counseling strategies were suggested in this research.
