융복합교육에서 미술의 역할과 특성: 교사 FGI를 중심으로

초록

In consideration of a range of existing discourses in regard to convergence education, this research attempted to investigate the role and characteristics of art education that would distinguish art in relation with other subject matters. First, the literature review was to clarify the characteristics of art as the thinking tool that could assist creativity and imaginative learning. To connect the conceptual discussion with the field, Focus Group Interviews that consisted of elementary and secondary teachers were conducted and analysed. As the result, the theme of ‘visual tool’ and ‘chain link’ was generated. The result manifested that the teachers’ description of what they would expect from art in convergence education reflected the creative thinking tools that various literature had proposed. This research would provide the understanding and communicative language that could facilitate the discussions between art teachers and teachers of other subject matters. In addition, it was intended to lay the ground in which art could be used a valuable thinking tool in practicing convergence education in schools.
