Low Temperature Densification of Nanopowder prepared by Mechanochemical process

초록

Mo nanopowder was synthesized by ball-milling and subsequent hydrogen-reduction of MoO3 powder. After hydrogen-reduction at 800oC, the crystalline size of the Mo powder was about 60 nm. The sinterability of the Mo nanopowder was considerably enhanced compared with that of a commercial Mo power. The sintering behavior of Mo nanopowder was investigated in comparison to that of commercial Mo powder. At a sintering temperature of 1400oC, the relative density of Mo nanopowder (94%) was found to be higher than that of commercial powder
