초록

2-D crustal structure of the southeastern Korean margin was derived through 2-D traveltime modeling and inversion using OBS refraction and wide-angle reflection data. The reciprocity test was carried out to check validity of the data, and initial model was built based on the traveltime tomography and -sum inversion. Crustal modeling and inversion were in two parts; 1) Only refraction phase was used for sedimentary layer and upper crust. 2) Refraction, PcP, and PmP phases were used for lower crust and Moho. The lower boundary of the sedimentary layer was shown up at 3.2∼6 km depth, and the average velocity of the bedrock below is 5 km/s. Thickness of the crust was in the range of 7.8∼16 km. Resolution values calculated during inversion indicated that the final model was well resolved.
