Recently, “reinforced mechanical joints” aka couplers are gradually expanding due to the minimization and simplicity of manpower in construction sites. Therefore, this study analyzed the performance of the existing coupler and designed a coupler that fixes the reinforcing bar by using the compressive force of the inclined fasteners inside the coupler without separate joint processing when connecting the rebar, and verified the performance of the coupler
