정부와 언론간의 바람직한 관계모색에 대한 연구: 정부홍보 담당자와 언론인의 인식 비교를 중심으로

This study aims at exploring the desirable relationship between government and press. In order to achieve the purpose of the study, mail survey was implemented with total number of 275 including 133 from government officials in public relations, 142 from the press accordingly. The questionnaire was consisted of several items to compare the recognition between two different groups, the key issue of government's public relations, and the problem related with the press' release. This study was triangulated by research methodology adding up in depth interview on the purpose of overcoming drawbacks and suggesting more sophisticated approach. The results shows that there is recognition discrepancy between the present state and ideal one, and that there also exists discrepancy the factors to prevent them from making desirable relationships. Interestingly, the results of in depth interview reinforce the difference which was found in that survey. Based upon the results, fundamental perspectives are shining in different sphere so that they shows different recognition on desirable relationship and government' public relations. This study can be contributed in diverse ways, which are firstly the empirical study to analyze both parties and secondly to use two different methods. Suggested are also practical and theoretical implications based on the results.
