초록
Scholastic assessment test (SAT) and essay test by university as well as student record have been the 3 core criteria in current university entrance examination. Thus, using path analysis, this study analyzed how these 3 core factors affect grade point average (GPA) in university and job finding (process) after the graduation. Data was collected H university freshman (SAT, essay test, student record) in 2006 and the collected data were analyzed using SAS (statistical analysis system, ver. 9.1). As the results of the analysis, it turned out that although student record affected GPA the most strongly among the 3 criteria, none of the criteria including GPA had significant effect on job finding. Therefore, it is considered appropriate for universities to focus on raising scholastic talents in terms of post management of the students already registered in the universities and on rearing talents required by the corporations through various activities rather than on developing new types of admission methods and criteria.
