입체조형 만다라를 활용한 창의인성 발달 프로그램 개발 연구

초록

This paper aims to develop a Creativity & Character program using 3-dimensional mandala and to manifest whether the art therapy approach has a significant effect on the creativity & character development of children. Through literature review, this paper investigates the concept of creativity and character education focusing on its central components, and explores the educational meaning of art therapy so as to unfold the possibility and significance of using art therapy as means to foster students’self-expression and sympathetic ability. The Creativity & Character program using 3-dimensional mandala developed in this study was implemented in M elementary school. 29 1st graders participated in 14 sessions. The result of this program was assessed through KEDI Creativity & Character Test. The analysis of pre-test and post-test showed that there was a significant improvement in several factors such as curiosity, humor, independence and self-confidence. Based on this result, it would be legitimate to say that the art therapy approach to art education can be a meaningful attempt to integrate creativity development and character education, and can result in the growth of child’s creative mind.
