행성 탐사 로버와 3D 프린팅 기술을 융합한 ISRU 건설 시스템 연구

A Study on the ISRU Construction System Combining Planetary Exploration Rover and 3D Printing Technology

초록

This study aims to propose an automated construction system using planetary exploration rovers and 3D printing technology. Since the Apollo exploration, unmanned exploration and lunar exploration centered on scientific missions have been the main focus. After unmanned mission, on the Artemis Accords, the importance of manned exploration and the construction of bases for them has increased. Planetary construction requires an economical and efficient approach through in-situ resource utilization (ISRU) and an automated construction system. 3D printing is attracting attention as a technology that can directly manufacture structures using planetary regolith as construction materials and minimize manpower input. The rover can gradually construct structures through transporting construction materials, coordinating 3D printing work, and a cooperative system. This study is suggested the direction of an efficient construction system base on analyzing the current status of rovers and 3D printing technology, the applicability of ISRU technology, etc. through a review of literature.
