Impact of Democracy on economic growth of foreign direct investment :Focusing on Sub-Saharan Africa

초록

This paper examines the effects of degree of freedom and political participation on the growth of the national economy in FDI in sub - Saharan Africa. The stable political situation in sub-Saharan Africa has become a driving force for multinational corporations to invest abroad in Africa. Yet, sub-Saharan Africa still needs economic growth to overcome poverty and poverty. Most African countries have become democratic countries since the 2000s, with most African countries democratic and democratic. Nonetheless, according to a survey by Freedom House (2017), the level of democracy in Africa is on average poor. The elected African politicians have formed cartels around specific powers, sharing exclusive power, and corruption and undemocratic agreements [23]. This article examines whether democracy has a positive impact on Africa's economic growth. This study is an empirical analysis of panel analysis of 20 countries in sub - Saharan Africa covering the southern, central, western and eastern Africa regions from 2002 to 2013.
