초록

The purpose of this study is to empirically investigate the effect of machiavellism on counterproductive work behavior through job insecurity and the moderated mediating effect of perception of organizational politics. To achieve the purpose, an online survey was conducted of 288 office workers, and 275 responses were used for analysis. The results of the study are as follows. First, a positive relationship between Machiavellism and counterproductive work behavior was confirmed. Second, job insecurity mediated the relationship between machiavellism and counterproductive work behavior. Third, perception of organizational politics have moderated mediation effect between machiavellism and counterproductive work behavior through job insecurity. Based on these results, we discussed the implications related to the role of organizational management to alleviate counterproductive work behavior, the limitations and the directions for future study.
