Estimation of Interleaver Parameters for Punctured Channel Coded Signals in Noisy Channels

초록

Since a channel code widely used for correcting channel errors in digital communication systems has limited set of codeword lengths, puncturing method is needed for various codeword lengths. In non cooperative contexts, such as battle fields and intelligence, a receiver has to blindly estimate parameters from only received signals. In this paper, we propose an algorithm for blind estimation of interleaver parameters of punctured channel-coded and standard block-interleaved noisy signals using analytical matrix with Gaussian elimination and compensation by threshold. With the proposed algorithm, we verify more than 80% of detection probability for increasing puncturing bits under noisy channel of BER=10-3 and higher detection probability with regard to lower coding rate are achieved.
