초록
Impact occurred in the various industrial environments can cause human injury even though it does not penetrate protective devices. Influence analysis on non-penetrating impact is an essential for improving the performance of protective equipment because it enables to identify the main factors affecting human injury. In this study, a drop impact test was performed on the acrylonitrile-butadiene-styrene (ABS) panel used as a protective equipment material, and the penetration diameter was measured. Three-dimensional finite element analysis was performed and ballistic gelatin was used to simulate human material behavior. As a result, the predicted penetration diameter showed a difference of up to less than 6% with the experimental results. For comparison with the results in the reference, an additional finite element analysis was conducted, and the predicted penetration hole diameter and penetration depth differed from the experimental results in reference by less than 5%. This indicates that the human behavior model used in the study is valid. Impact simulations were performed in diverse impact conditions based on the validated material behavior model. The maximum stress on the human body was compared according to the mass, velocity, and impact angle of an impactor, and multiple regression analysis was also performed for the influence analysis among the influencing factors. In conclusion, it was confirmed that the impact velocity was the most dominant influencing factor on the body damage and maximum stress appeared in the human body. Accordingly, the methodology presented in this study is effective and would be utilized for the safety of industrial workers exposed to various impact threats.
