초록

Todays, we used to gain information by digital media instead of book. This essay is intending to suggest the desirable way of reading and reading education in these days. Especially this essay payed attention to that digital media including hypertext has both virtues and evils. The hypertext on the web is so effective in collect various information because of its infinite links. But it is apt to make reader gain or save information passively. Such a one is able to call as ‘information type person’. Unlike information, knowledge has system, context and structure. If we should grew ‘knowledge type person’ instead of ‘information type person’, the digital media shall be operated as a barrier. And in that digital media has tendency to pursue hyper-reality, it can be a barrier disturbing the growth of perspective to see the hidden side of text beyond the letters. To got over these evils, it needs to recover the analogue-typed reading method. On the one hand, the hypertext is very good media setting up the condition on which the readers can reconstruct their own knowledge with different informations. So it will be desirable direction that the reading education in digital media age maximize the virtues and minimize the evils of digital media including hypertext.
