초록
The purpose of this study is to examine Korea's Myeong-dang and feng shui ideology, focusing on the maek of the Goryeo and Joseon Dynasty, and to analyze the concept and spatial aspects of Myeong-dang in that era. Eum-taek refers to the space of the dead, including the graves of ancestors and parents, and feng shui is a traditional spatial idea that pursues harmony between people and nature, and these two elements have been closely connected in traditional Korean society. In this paper, we re-explored the field of Myeong-dang for a considerable number of years in relation to various families, including references, and some regions over two years in 2024 last year and 2025 this year, and looked at the Eum-taek pungsu by time and region. We tried to examine the characteristics of traditional Korean myeong-dang and shed light on the ideological and practical meaning of Eum-taek culture, and in the fields of Eum-taek, which are difficult to select and describe scientifically, previous researchers have already made many studies and certain achievements, but if you look at them from a critical perspective, it is judged that more exploration of various aspects is needed, so we started this study and considered it from a different perspective. As a result of the study, it was difficult to find detailed standards for selecting a famous place academically and scientifically, but it was confirmed that the selection of a famous place had its own environmental location selection criteria, and these standards were not significantly different from the conditions of the royal family and leadership's cemetery creation. Although there are many difficult parts to prove theoretically, it is hoped that it will contribute to understanding the spatial values and feng shui ideology, including modern architecture, and at the same time, it will be meaningful to re-examine the historical roots of feng shui ideology.
