항공산업의 고용시장과 인간 소외에 따른 전직 항공 승무원의 경력전환에 관한 자문화기술지 : 결정적 사건을 중심으로

초록

This study analyzed the process of a decisive event-oriented career transition of a former flight attendant with experience from overseas and domestic airlines under the neo-liberal market economy, particularly the market system where employment flexibility was achieved after IMF international finance in Korea, by applying the autoethnography methodology. Theoretical considerations included career transitions, job market, human alienation in the aviation industry, autoethnography, and critical events. The study was conducted with former flight attendants with experiences from overseas and domestic airlines, depending on the characteristics of autoethnography. In addition, the research was conducted according to the six criteria of Duncan (2004): scope of study, utility of tools, relevance of composition, external feasibility, reliability, and academic integrity. Studies have shown that unstable employment was a cause for career change, and graduate school was a way for a former flight attendant to overcome alienation in the course of career change. Experience of alienation has led to a move toward humanity in the process of giving lectures to applicants who want to join the crew, sympathizing with and trying to help those who have also experienced alienation. . The implications of this study were, first of all, that the career transition process of domestic airline flight attendants from overseas through decisive events was given as a concrete example. It also shed light on individual alienation due to violence and inhumanity in the aviation industry under the neo-liberal market economy. Second, the process of shaping identity and values in the course of career transition from flight attendants of domestic airlines to instructors was presented as specific examples, describing the psychological impact of job changes. Third, it has enhanced th validity of self-culture technology paper on which readers’ sympathy is based by giving an in-depth illumination of the decisive event on career transition as an alienated minority, and will be a source of positive change in the lives of minorities. In practice, describing the career transition process can serve as a basis for planning various job training programs in corporate job training. It also raised the issue of employment discrimination against Korean workers at domestic airlines’ interns and foreign airlines to enhance the discussion of job security and post-retirement career path.
