행정중심복합도시 건설에 따른 세종시와 인접 지역의 공간구조 변화 분석 : 인구이동과 통근통행자료를 중심으로

초록

The construction of a new city can change the existing settlements and the urban structure of the surrounding areas. In this context, the construction of the Administrative City in Sejong-si is causing structural changes in the Daejeon-Chungcheong area. This study empirically analyzed the manner in which the spatial characteristics of this migration occurred in connection with the previous research results that the construction of Sejong-si caused large-scale migration in the surrounding areas. This is because overall growth is more important than the zero-sum game in Sejong-si and surrounding areas, to successfully build the Administrative City. Therefore, this study primarily analyzed the spatial structure changes occurring in the area adjacent to Sejong-si owing to the construction of the Administrative City. Hence, the spatial interaction characteristics between regions at each time point were analyzed using data on migration and commuting between 2012, when Sejong-si was established, and 2020, when the second phase of the construction was completed. Consequently, the spatial structure was noted to rapidly change in Sejong-si and adjacent areas, and among them, areas with concentrated growth, areas with concern for decline, and areas showing a recovery trend after decline were derived. With the passage of the 10th anniversary of the establishment of Sejong-si and the establishment of the 2040 Administrative City Metropolitan Plan (2021), a policy for the growth of the urban area through inter-city linkage and cooperation is required. This finding is meaningful in that it presented policy implications for the win-win development of the Sejong city region.
