A Knowledge-based BIM Plug-in for Building Massing Calculation of Pre-design

초록

Data structure of a building object in BIM can include a variety of design knowledge as being composed of a parametric information and property. Knowledge-based BIM is to use design knowledge information in the form of declared information such as design rules, parametric constraints, parametric objects when BIM applications are used. This study aims to implement a BIM plug-in of the building mass volume calculation related design information and knowledge based on an architect. It uses Autodesk’s Revit2015 as BIM platform, Microsoft’s Visual Studio2015 as software development platform and object-oriented C# as development computer language for implementation of plug-in. The knowledge-based BIM plug-in for building mass volume calculation is developed from a specific design knowledge of architect. This system can reason building mass through input for calculation information and give feedback to architect that represent parameter object as result. Also the represented mass is stored calculation information and can be synchronized on a BIM design process.
